Services

At Shine Family Therapy, all services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family. Regardless of what is being addressed in therapy, every session is designed with your story and goals in mind. This personalized approach ensures that your experience is not only effective but also authentic—creating a safe, trusting relationship with your therapist where you can feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

Services are provided in person and/or online. I am licensed to provide services to clients in the following states:

  • Florida (in person/teletherapy)

  • Iowa (teletherapy only).

Family Therapy

In family life, it’s rarely just one person carrying the weight—our stories, struggles, and strengths are all connected. Systemic family therapy looks at the whole picture: the patterns, relationships, and dynamics that shape how we love, cope, and grow. Instead of focusing only on the “problem,” we shine a light on the system itself—illuminating the ways each person influences and is influenced by the others

Couples Therapy

Every relationship holds both light and shadow—the joy of deep connection and the ache of distance when things feel out of sync. Couples therapy is a space to pause together, to bring what’s been left unspoken into the light, and to rediscover the possibility of truly knowing and being known. Whether you’re navigating conflict, healing after hurt, or simply longing to reconnect, therapy can help illuminate new ways of listening, understanding, and moving forward.

Individual Therapy

Life can feel heavy when we’re carrying more than we know how to hold. You’re not alone, and you don’t need to do this alone. Individual therapy offers a space to bring those parts of your story into the light—naming what feels unclear, untangling what feels stuck, and discovering new ways forward. Even small shifts can spark hope and open the way toward healing, growth, and greater freedom. â€‹

THERAPY WITH TEENS (14+) -  LEARN MORE

The teenage years are full of growth, discovery, and challenges. It’s a season where friendships, family dynamics, school, sports, and self-identity all intersect—and sometimes it can feel overwhelming. I love working with teens because I know how impactful these years can be. As a former Division I athlete, I’ve seen firsthand how resilience, pressure, and transition shape us, and I bring that understanding into my work with young people today.

Group Therapy

Growth happens differently in a group than it does one-on-one. In the room, you get the chance to practice being seen and heard in real time with an experienced professional to hold the space. You’ll notice patterns in yourself, hear reflections you wouldn’t have thought of, and discover you’re not as alone as you once felt. Group therapy isn’t about “fixing” each other—it’s about learning, experimenting, and connecting in ways that can carry into your everyday relationships.

My goal is to make therapy accessible for everyone. If cost is a concern, I’m open to having a conversation about rates.

No Surprises Act

The No Surprises Act is a federal law designed to protect you from unexpected medical bills when you are uninsured or self-paying for services. If you are planning to be self-pay, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of the expected cost of services prior to the start of treatment based on initial evaluation of your treatment needs. This estimate will include the expected cost of therapeutic treatment and any applicable fees, which allows you to understand and plan for financial aspects of treatment. If your treatment plan changes or you are in need of additional services, and updated GFE will be provided to you. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your GFE, you can dispute the bill.
